This is our annual Baltimore Official Halloween Bar Crawl. Trick or Treat together with friends because we will leave your head spinning like the headless horseman. Come on out, all you ghosts and gals! Let’s kick this Halloween off right. 

There will be plenty of music provided by DJs and some of the area’s hottest bands. Drink specials, and costume contests. The event starts at 4:00 pm on Halloween and runs until 10:00 pm. FrightReads is back! The acclaimed Maryland book festival dedicated to all things Halloween and Fall, featuring authors, crafts, artists, and more has returned! Year 2 looks to be bigger and better, with a larger venue and more in store than ever before!

The Benfield Sportcenter is hosting the event his year on Saturday, October 1 from noon until 6:00 pm. This year there will be a craft table for the kids, plenty of book deals, a magic show, the cast of Ghost Hunters: Mobtown Paranormal, “Adventure Time” and  “Invader Zim” artist Ian McGinty, plus dozens of great independent authors as well!

Writing seems like a simple thing to do, right? You put pen to paper, construct sentences, and boom, you’re an author. But, as anyone who has tried to do this can tell you, it’s not quite that easy. But worry not, help is on the way.

Unique Robinson, poet, performer, and professor will be facilitating a Writing Workshop during Motor House’s monthly open mic series. Ms. Robinson has taught poetry and creative writing for 7 years at the community, collegiate, and K-12 levels as both Teaching Artist, and Professor in Humanistic Studies at MICA and Towson University. 

This Writing Workshop provides a space for participants of all levels and genres of writing to create new pieces, and workshop any existing ones. Oftentimes, Writing Workshops are only offered at the collegiate level, or in Writing Fellowships. This is a rare opportunity for writers outside of institutions to develop and focus on their craft.

This 12-15 mile trek will wind through the area and see attractions a-plenty. See Ft. McHenry, the Inner Harbor, Camden Yards, Edgar Allen Poe’s house, Fells Point, the Lexington Market and more. But don’t worry, this is going to be fun. You’ll have ample opportunity to explore, eat crabcakes, ride the Inner Harbor water taxi, and even stand on the exact spot where Francis Scott Key observed that our flag was, in fact, still there, as he composed our national anthem.

The walk starts at 10:30 am and will run until 5:30 pm. The starting line will be at the Greyhound Baltimore Bus Station at 2110 Haines Street, Baltimore, MD 21230. Register to take part in this fantastic event here. Tickets are free.

The 90’s was an iconic time in America for music, tv, movies, and fashion. Bar Crawl Events LLC (BCE) is proud to offer you a chance to re-visit the 90’s with their “I Love the 90’s Bar Crawl”!

Lace up those high-tops. Put on your fanny pack. And get ready to get jiggy with it all night with a whole host of fellow 90’s lovers. BCE makes their themed bar crawl events super easy. You just show up with your friends in your best 90’s gear and your tickets (get them here), and they provide the crowd and the music. The participating bars have their specials and you can visit as many or few venues as you wish. It’s totally up to you.

 “They’re All Going to Laugh at You” is an open mic night series hosted by Woo Woo the Comedian at the super-trendy Club XS. Happy hour will start at 4:00 pm and the comedy starts at 8:00 pm. Whether you want to have fun and be entertained, or be brave and try your hand up on stage, you’re guaranteed to have a great time. 

Comedy is always far better when it is performed and enjoyed live. Club XS is located at 1307 North Charles Street in Baltimore. Seats fill up very quickly for these so be sure to get there early. Enjoy some adult beverages and then indulge your funny bone.
