When the population of Owings Mills exploded in the '90s, the Owings Mills Recreation and Parks Council saw the need for an expansive outdoor space to service all of its residents, plus neighboring towns of Reisterstown and Liberty Road. Out of that need, Northwest Regional Park was developed at the western edge of the county, and it provides residents with plenty of valuable opportunities to get outside. Now more than ever, people need parks!
The park features plenty of ball fields, plus picnic pavilions, community gardens, and a playground. And as we spend the spring season keeping our distance from other folks, the paved walking paths and nature trails are especially helpful when you want to stretch your legs while still staying safe. Northwest Regional Park boasts an extra-large, 244-space parking lot, making it easy to access the park any time of day. Enjoy the open space, and plan to return all summer long for ball games, family picnics, and more!
